Saturday passes will be sold at a flat rate of $175. There are no phases for Saturday Pass registration.

How are the prices set for DDCON?

Each year, we host DDCON in a new city, so our registration prices are influenced by our location. Generally, our costs include the venue, meals, Guest of Honor fees, swag, etc. DDCON’s focus is not to make a large profit, but rather to be sustainable and more importantly, to continue creating the best possible experience for our attendees. In an effort to manage the dramatic growth of DDCON over the last few years, we have changed from a sales model to an inventory model.

How do I pay for a Pass?

Payment will be taken in the registration form via credit card through Stripe. Your registration will not be official until your payment is verified and a confirmation email is sent.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Since we are using Stripe this year, payments will only be accepted with the use of a credit or debit card. We will are not accepting any payments via Venmo. Venmo payments will be returned back to you and you will still be considered unregistered for the event.

Is there a fee for using a credit or debit card?

Yes, a small convenience fee will be applied in addition to the registration fee. The non-refundable fee is assessed by our third-party processor and will be included with your total payment amount on your card’s statement. We apologize for any inconveniences.

Can I refund my pass?

No - Passes are non-refundable.

Passes may be transferred, but the transfer must be facilitated through DDCON Registration for a fee of $25. Please see our transfer policy. The last day for transfers is June 26th. Please see the following question for more information on transfers.

How do I transfer my pass?

All transfers must be facilitated through DDCON Registration for a fee of $25. Please email ddconreg@desidancenetwork.org with your request to transfer. DDCON Registration will take any transfer requests to our waitlist before considering any one-to-one transfers.

If the waitlist is empty or not yet activated, it is your responsibility to find someone to whom you can transfer. Once DDCON Registration confirms the transfer, the person receiving your pass will be required to pay the price of the phase currently on sale. Once we receive payment from the person taking your spot, we will issue your refund minus the $25 transfer fee. We will not honor any pass transfers done independently. The last day for transfers is June 26th.

What if I can’t pay the full price of registration immediately?

We offer a payment plan for the Full Weekend Pass. Please see our eligibility and terms. Please email ddconreg@desidancenetwork.org with any questions.

Do we get a registration confirmation right away?

No - upon completion of the registration form and receipt of payment, you will receive an initial confirmation of your submission. Your information and payment will then be verified by our registration team. Once this is done, you will receive a final confirmation within 24 hours.

Can I change my Full Weekend Pass to a Saturday Pass?

We will process this like a transfer, and it is subject to availability. Please see the question above for more information on how to transfer passes. Once we successfully find someone to take your Full Weekend Pass, we will refund you the difference between the Full Weekend Pass and Saturday Pass, minus the $25 transfer fee. The last day for transfers is June 26th.

Can I change my Saturday Pass to a Full Weekend Pass?

Passes may be upgraded if available. If you have a Saturday Pass and are interested in upgrading to a Full Weekend Pass, please email ddconreg@desidancenetwork.org. If there are spots available, we will charge you the price difference, which will be determined by the current phase of registration.

If there are no spots open, you will be given the option to join the waitlist. You may still retain your Saturday Pass while on the waitlist for a Full Weekend Pass. The waitlist is first come, first serve. If a spot becomes available for you, we will inform you via email and text. You will be charged the difference between a Saturday Pass and the Phase 3 price for a Full Weekend Pass ($300). We will send you a link to complete your payment. You will be given 2 days to claim your Full Weekend spot by paying. If we do not receive payment in 48 hours, you will forfeit your Full Weekend spot and we will proceed with the next person on the waitlist. The last day for upgrades is June 26th.

Is there a waitlist? How do I get on it?

Yes - DDCON will have a waitlist for Full Weekend Pass and Saturday Pass holders once all spots are filled, respectively. In order to join the waitlist, please email ddconreg@desidancenetwork.org with a request to be placed on the waitlist. Please be sure to include which pass you want (Full Weekend Pass or Saturday Pass) and your phone number in your email. The waitlist is first come, first serve.

If a spot becomes available for you, we will inform you via email and text. You will be charged the Phase 3 price for Full Weekend Passes ($300). We will send you a form to fill out and a link to complete your payment. You will be given 2 days to claim your spot by filling out the form and paying. If we do not receive the form and payment in 48 hours, you will forfeit your spot and we will proceed with the next person on the waitlist.

How are roommates assigned?

For all completely registered participants with Full Weekend Passes (i.e. you received a confirmation email), a rooming request form will be sent via email as we approach the event. You will then have the option of requesting roommates or having random roommates. We’ll do our best to make sure you’re comfortable with your living situation at DDCON 2019!

What kinds of classes will be at DDCON 2019?

Each year, we host a variety of classes of different dance styles and levels. Previous years included classes in Bollywood, Hip Hop, Bhangra, Latin Fusion, and many more. In the past 3 years, we offered Master Classes and Workshops with industry level professionals. This year, DDCON Programming is developing a new system to better classify our workshops by difficulty level. Stay tuned for more information on this soon!

What are breakout sessions?

Breakout sessions (formerly known as “Panels”) are discussion-based sessions focused on various topics that are of interest to the Desi Dance community. The sessions are centered around both dance and non-dance related topics.

Have you decided the instructors yet?

No - we are in the process of finalizing the instructors. Be sure to like our Facebook page and follow us on Instagram to stay updated!

Who should I email if I am interested in being an instructor or breakout leader?

ddcon@desidancenetwork.org

How does class registration work?

DDCON hosts class registration on an online portal that is similar to a college class registration portal. The portal will open at a specific time for all registered participants. The portal will list the workshop title, instructor, and time. The schedule is released ahead of time so registered participants can determine their choices prior to signing onto the portal. There are a limited number of spots for each class and time slot. Classes fill up fast and are first come, first serve.

When will I get to select my classes?

For all completely registered participants (i.e. you received a confirmation email), more detailed information regarding the class registration process will be sent closer to the event, once our instructors have been selected and the schedule has been finalized.
